Join the US Army Corp of Engineers, Friends of Our Beautiful Carter’s Lake, and FIND Outdoors as they kick off the 2026 Recreation Season at Carters Lake.

Come meet generous sponsors and partners who help make events and improvements happen. Learn about volunteer opportunities for lake clean up, hemlock treatments, and more. Find all of the ways that Carters Lake provides recreation for the North Georgia area besides the lake. Sponsors and their recent improvement projects will be recognized.

At 10 am they will host a short fun run for all ages and abilities followed by a presentation of sponsors and partners at 11 am. If you’re interested in the fun run, sign up will begin at 9 am.
