Are short term rentals allowed in Tranquility at Carters Lake?
It is the position and policy of the Association that only long-term rentals (defined as leases including and in excess of one-year) are permitted;
however, use of properties within the Association as short-term vacation rentals, including Airbnb, VRBO, or HomeAway, are not allowed under the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions & Easements (the “Declarations”) and the Zoning Ordinances of Gilmer County.
Can property owners pay their Annual Assessment online?
Yes, property owners can use the Sixes Management portal for TACL property owners.
You will need to set up your account to pay online.

What utilities are available in Tranquility at Carters Lake?
Our community has paved roads, gated entrances, public water, and underground utilities (electricity, telephone, cable TV and Internet).
What are the annual fees/dues for the Association?
The annual assessment for 2026 per lot will be $950.00. The assessment is due the first of January.
Owners can pay their Annual Assessments through the Sixes portal. An E-check payment option is available there.
Is there an initiation fee and if so, how much?
The initiation fee is $150.00.
How can a realtor obtain a gate code for showing clients a listing in our community?
Each lot owner has a code that can be used by the realtor showing their property.
Is there a time requirement for lot/land owners to build a home?
There is no time limit to begin building a home on a lot. Once a home has begun construction there is a time limit of one year, circumstances permitting.
Can contiguous lots be combined into one homesite?
Yes, you can combine lots. You must pay dues on each lot until home construction is complete.
Can RV or boats be stored on a homesite?
They can be stored in a standard size garage..
Does your community have a community pool?
There is not a community pool. We do have a large pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables and playground.
