Snake season in the north Georgia mountains is now fully underway. And that includes our community.
Snakes are cold-blooded. This means, as the weather gets warmer, they emerge from their hiding places. Most snakes start becoming more active at the beginning of April, and stay on the move into the fall.
There are no snake repellants, so the best thing you can do is keep shoes on your feet and keep your head on a swivel, especially in the evenings.
